Now that you know about our blog, we would like to introduce ourselves.
Hey! I’m Kenneth Barilari. I am Senior at Seton Hall University, majoring in Journalism. I have always had a passion for pop culture, and use that, along with a love for my home state, to show you how the spotlight has touched Jersey. New Jersey is where I grew up, and where I discovered my love for writing. It is where I attended my first concert and saw my first movie. The entertainment world has always seemed to be more of an illusion than a reality to me, until I discovered that the Garden State has had a past full of exhilarating entertainment news. This blog is my way of relaying that information to you, as we learn together how our beautiful state has impacted the entertainment industry. I hope that after graduation I am able to utilize my love for writing and popular culture professionally. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I hope that you enjoy our blog.
Dominique McIndoe is a fourth-year journalism major at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. Her blog posts cover news on performing arts, cultural events, and entertainment at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) and in the New Jersey-New York region. This blog’s purpose is to cultivate awareness of local artistry and provide information for lovers of entertainment and the arts.
She served as a staff writer for the university’s award-winning campus newspaper, The Setonian, from 2015 to 2016. Before pursuing her college degree, Dominique attended Marylawn of the Oranges High School, which was also in South Orange.
Dominique has been a dancer since she was seven years old. She attended Maria Priadka School of Dance in South Orange from 2002 to 2008 until joining the dance company at her high school for four years. Dominique was also a member of a singing group (2010-2013) that was formed in the hallways of her high school with her two best friends. When she’s not singing or dancing, she is working towards a career in professional writing – journalism and prose, respectively. For most of her life, her experiences with her education and performing arts hobbies have taken place in South Orange, NJ. She has always had a love for music, dance, classic film and the performing arts. We hope that you enjoy our blog!
Hello, my name is Leah Scalzadonna and I’m a 23-year-old pop culture addict studying journalism at Seton Hall University. Growing up in New Jersey, I spent my high school and college years scouring the state for the best festivals, concerts and events. This blog is a place for me to write about the best entertainment happening in the Garden State. It’s not my opinion or my review-this is pure entertainment fact.
Feel free to contact me! My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. When I’m not working or in class, I’m usually at a concert, DJ-ing at 89.5 WSOU or reading a new book.
Hi, my name is Evelyn Peregrin and I am a senior Journalism major at Seton Hall University.
My interest in writing comes from years of reading and admiring the works of novelists and journalists. Now, I want to create. This interest coupled with my love of bringing people closer together and enjoying a sense of community is what draws me to journalism. There are questions that need to be answered and worlds that no one knows about. I want to draw back the veil on the lives of those around us and bring readers into their world.
I have always been interested in the world of entertainment and the people in the industry. New Jersey is home to many great artists, musicians, athletes and other entertainers who all have stories to tell. With my interest in feature stories coupled with my education in journalism, I hope to bring readers a fresh take on entertainment news.
